Has anyone found any painkillers that help with extreme period pain, either from endo or not? I know it is not the ideal solution but just to get over pain when it is at it's worst ?

Hey, I was prescribed medical codiene for the extreme pain, it is always worth a try. If not nurofen with codiene in is also a blessing too. It takes the edge off and makes it a bit more bareable with a hot water bottle.

Hope this helps x

Naproxen here but have taken everything over the years!

At the moment, naproxen and hot water bottle are making my periods bearable - just.

Mefanemic acid and co codamol for me. I only got diagnosed with endo last year but I've been taken mefanemic acid for years. Prior to this period pain used to be so bad that it made me sick and I would be doubled over with pain. Hope you find something that helps you soon x

A combo of buscopan and magnesium tablets, paired with a hot water bottle. A bath using Epsom salts and some yoga stretches are nice too.

Last night I tried a triple-whammy: paracetamol, mefenamic acid, and Buscopan. Once it all kicked in I felt wonderful! Honestly the best I've felt in ages. Threw my hot water bottle to the side and my fiance said he hadn't seen me look so cheerful and full of energy in a long time. So glad I finally found what works to sort out my pain :)

I found ketoprofen is the only thing that has helped me. And my hot water bottle or heat pad of course!

It's amazing how different we all are and how one thing works for one person and yet do nothing for another! They definitely need to do more research into women's painand find better painkillers! Hope you find something! It's so awful. X X X 💛
