Hi
I’d been referred through NHS for gynaecologist appointment, but doubted the direction it was going. I’d discovered recently that there were fibroids. Although I had frequency, the referral was to Urogynecology. I decided to see someone privately and they said Endometriosis, do Laparoscopy and treat at the same time if it was there. Bit of a shock, I’d gone for advice on fibroids 😂. He added me to his NHS list, but couldn’t give a time scale. I’m really tempted to go private, not that I want an op at all in any shape or form. But at least I’d know who was actually doing it.
After looking at posts here, some great advice and experiences, thank you, I have questions I want to ask the consultant. Is it too much to have a follow up appointment? Would he think I’m wasting his time?
I’ve constantly gone back to GP over the last year and not got anywhere. Even if I’m paying I’m feeling like it’s all overkill now.
