Side affects after Mirena IUD? Feel awful

Hi I was wondering if someone could help 😊

10 days ago I had a Mirena IUD fitted for suspected Endometriosis. It took three IUDs before it worked as the first 2 broke on insertion (assuring)

Since then, I’ve really been suffering with extreme fatigue, dizziness, headache along with bloating, severe cramps nearly constantly and constipation. I’m sleeping around 16-18 hours a day and falling asleep on my feet. The pain is untouched by painkillers or heat and it’s making me sick several times a day.

I’ve no bleeding at all so anaemia is out for the lethargy but I do suffer from Antiphospholid syndrome (sticky blood syndrome) and POTS. I suffer with chronic fatigue also as I had a stroke last year but this has kicked it to being horrendous since the IUD while I’d finally got my symptoms under control prior.

I know it’s only been 10 days, but can someone give me some advice as to what to do or do I need to just persevere and see if the side affects wear off? It’s making me feel horrendous and barely functional.

Thank you in advance 😊

Definitely persevere. I took me a few months of not up to 6 months for mine to fully settle (not what you want you want hear I’m sorry) but it becomes for bearable the longer you get used to the pain of it. Make sure you listen to the signs your body is telling you, plenty of rest, food, water etc. It unfortunately takes time ☹️ x
