Endo diet (vegan plus gluten free)

Could I ask... Does anyone have experience in treating their endo symptoms with the endo diet (anti inflammatory diet, basically veganism and gluten free)?? I have the book 'one part plant' which was written by a woman who swears by plant based for helping endo, and I have one friend who has been vegan for two years and told me it helps. I was just wondering if this diet has genuinely helped others? I had a brief foray into it post lap, but since getting pregnant and now breastfeeding I haven't been restrictive, so couldn't really say if it helps me.

I eat vegan and gluten free but there’s also an ‘ endo diet’ there’s a book you can get off amazon which I need to look at. I take supplements too to help; flaxseed oil, chromium and vitamin supplements as well as pro biotics. I take bioglan womens and feel worse when I don’t take it but I have been diagnosed with IBS too.

I never stray off my diet because of how much better it makes me feel, my endo has gotten worse but Since being on the diet but since taking the supplements I haven’t had an episode yet, fingers crossed.

I find alcohol brings on an episode when I’m due on, so I try to avoid it when I can feel cramping or due on symptoms. I also avoid sex around this time.

It’s definitely worth a try, watch what the health too for some motivation it’s on Netflix.

Hope this helps xxxx

Try the AIP diet, its absolutely amazing. Eating meat is fine providing its organic. Meat contains so many nutrients. Its sugar, alcohol and refined carbohydrates you need to avoid. Its really helped me with my pain after years of periods from hell. Xx

Yes i decided about 3 years ago for alot of reasons to come of any meds and try to do a anti inflam diet....

So basically it will help with all problems within ur body that result in pain...

I stopped

1. Gluten

2. Processed foods

3. sugar( ie extra sugar in drinks, sugary fizzy drinks)

4. Alcohol( only drink on special oocasions)

5. Red meat( i have ibs aswell and it really is a hard thing to digest)

Then i started to take supplements

1. Good probiotics

2. Peppermint oil

3. Digestive enzymes

4. Vitamin c

5. B complex

I literally noticed the difference in my body within about 5 weeks...

I lost alot of weight..

I always had constipation that went...

I always had ibs, that went... THEN I HAD MY FIRST PERIOD... it had halved my pain.

Im was on time to the day.. ( unfortunately now im goin peri menopause so im all over place)

It has been a game changer for me, literally changed my life.

It now 3 nearly 4 years down line and i would never go back to eating any of that bad food again.

Im now thinking of vegan aswell but i worry that im so narrowed down to what i can eat anyway and if i cant eat at least chicken and turkey im kinda gona b very hungry
