I had my last prostap injection 3 months ago now. I had my first proper period since stopping in November. About a week ago now, I started experiencing symptoms that told me my period was due. I noticed when I wiped that there was fresh blood, so I just assumed that it was the start of my period. It doesn't seem to have started properly though. It's not a constant flow. Not enough to go on a sanitary towel anyway. It's only noticeable when I wipe. I'm experiencing all the usual signs that I would if I'm on a proper period. I've tried googling etc but I can't seem to find any answers. I was on the prostap for pcos and endometriosis and also to give me a break from the horrendous pain each month. I had the injection 3 times, so I was on it for 3 months before they stopped it because they thought it might be aggravating my epilepsy. Any replies will be truly appreciated 🙂

Hey I was on them for 8 months, stopped for a month then had an op. But I’ve just looked back at my log and I was around the 7 month mark from injections stopping is when my periods came back properly, I was only light/spotting until then x
Yeah and also it’ll be at its own time scale too. If you’re concerned obviously speak to your doctor or consultant. I find keeping a log of everything works well for me because I don’t always realise if there’s a pattern etc. Hope you’re doing okay otherwise though x
Thank you for replying 🙂 This light bleeding, what I thought was the beginning of my 2nd period since stopping the prostap injection, started on the 12th December. Its now 15 days today and its still light. I've got a gp appointment this evening so I'm gonna see what she says
