Hello, im new to the site.

Im 37 years old

I had a total hysterectomy 3 years ago due to endometriosis amongst other things. I still have my ovaries.

Im in A lot of pain right now which led to me being hospitalised.

They thing ive had a flare up of endometriosis.

They have started me on prostap injections. Had my first one 2 weeks ago. Im asking whether anyone has)is experiencing the same or similiar?

They say it will take a couple of months for the pain to go so i have been started on tramadol. Im so eager to go back to work.

Ty

Please research into prostap, or the American name lupron 😔 for me it was horrific and I wish I knew beforehand just how bad it was. I was still in agony, but had to then deal with hot flashes, insomnia, horrific mood swings... It goes on. Please research both lupron and prostap

hi. How are you feeling?

for me prostap was brilliant, it doesn't agree with many people and if I had researched it I don't know if id have had it but at the time I was very poorly and wanted to just feel better. I got a few hot flushes but otherwise I was very lucky and it stopped my pain within weeks. I did 6 months on it. I've also used tramadol which after the first few weeks were I felt terrible it also helped most of the time whilst I waited for surgery. Alongside this I use the Endo diet which reduced my pain as certain foods aggravated it all. I hope you find it helps and you see an improvement soon. Xx

hi😊. I was really sceptical about the Endo diet, my hubby took charge as I just found it easier not to eat as unknown to me the food I was eating was making it worse. We were recommended a book, from memory it's something like endometriosis the key to healing and fertility through nutrition. It's a rather full on book but I couldn't get to the bathroom without help so we were happy to try anything. I did it to the letter for 6/8 weeks and really felt a difference along with better pain management. I then introduced one thing at a time so for me bread, rolls, cakes etc can be a trigger I have to be careful. Pasta, even gluten free is just a no I'm in agony with it. I'm fine with cows milk and a little cheese, I don't eat red meat anyway and we eat far more fruit ( nothing citrus) and veg which is good for us all. I found hospital stays interesting with this as they struggled to find things I could eat that didn't worsen my pain ( they did however see the link first hand 😊).

I'm great at the moment thankyou, despite being told even with ivf another child was very unlikely we decided we'd regret not trying and are little first time ivf miracle is nearly 5 weeks old😊. I've been pain free for a year and a half so I'm hoping I don't pay for it now but at least I know what the problem is and have a fair idea of what I can do to ease it.

how are you finding the prostap? Where is your pain? Xx
