I had a laproscopy 6 weeks ago and am looking to try for a baby as soon as possible. I had multiple adhesions removed, 2 cysts and lots of unsticking of organs. Tubes are clear. I was wondering if anyone had had any luck getting pregnant naturally and how long it took them?
Thank you x

I don't have good news here but wanted to be able to give you an honest/balanced view. I was told that my chances of conception were higher for around 6 months post surgery (removal of endo and freeing up fallopian tubes). We've been ttc 4 years next month. I'm now 6 months post surgery and still no whiff of a bfp 🥺 we have our consultation for IVF in 3 weeks time though so feel okay-ish to be doing something active.
Equally, I think many women are lucky enough to fall pregnant in the months following their surgery so I truly hope you get to be one of those women 🤞 good luck xx
I was really interested in this post. It’s all I keep trying to look at on this site. I’m desperate to start ttc but my consultant told me I need to have surgery first to clear everything I have the same as you but not sure if my tubes are clear yet as i won’t find that out till I have my first surgery. I’m petrified that I can’t have children it’s all you read about online with having this. But I will try no matter what.
Im not sure if this will help you but you can always try. I’ve been doing soooo much research while waiting for my surgery to try and help after I’ve had my op.
Diet it important lots of omega 3, greens and cutting down on sugar caffeine, alcohol etc
Eating oranges and fruits high in vitamin c
Drink pomegranate juice and eating pomegranates too. They also say eat pineapples especially on ovulation days as it helps with implantation.
Yoga lots of fertility poses ( you can look online and do them at home) Light exercises too.
Caster oil packs I swear by these they help with endo for pain and fertility as the help to make the follicles grow and in the ovaries.
Fertility massages( you can do theses at home too)
I’m sorry I’m probably not the most helpful but all of these help with endo and fertility and they have really helped me with my pain hopefully they will help with my fertility too after surgery too. Think from what I have read it’s to relax and not think about it that’s how many people I have heard got pregnant. Very hard to do when we are so desperate. Keep us posted anyway and good luck xxx
I had mine last December to remove endo all over my uterus, unstick my left ovary and to diagnose it on my rectum. Unfortunately they couldn’t remove all of it and advised further specialist surgery or IVF.
I finally got referred to the IVF clinic at the start of October where they found the endo had returned in my left ovary and my left tube was blocked. They advised more surgery before starting IVF.
I then found out I had conceived naturally a day or so after that first consultation. I’m now 13 weeks pregnant 🙂
It’s a tough condition to live with and it affects everyone differently. I really wish you all the best and hope you don’t have to wait too long. 🤞🏻
I was in a similar position in terms of adhesions, 1 large cyst, unsticking organs etc but tubes passed the dye test.
I did not get pregnant naturally after 9 months and went to IVF, which was successful. I know it does happen naturally for some people but try not to put too much pressure on it (easier said than done). xx
