I've just been told that I have endometriosis and basically the doctors have told me that my only option is to go on a contraception pill or coil.
I did express to him that me and my partner wanted another baby. But he just said that This is your only option because I could not get pregnant anyway if I was bleeding heavily on times. Is this my only option? I am so confused with it all xx

What a load of bull! He shouldn’t have said that at all! It’s difficult to get pregnant naturally , depending where the endometriosis is growing (if it’s blocking your fallopian tubes or passage way in ovaries). But not impossible! And there are lots of other options to help get pregnant. I would try a different doctor for another opinion. Find out what stage of endo you have, where you have it, and talk pregnancy options. Going back on a contraceptive pill or coil, I believe just calms the endo down for a little while. I was on the pill for 14 years, but now am at the stage of wanting babies so I came off the pill two years ago. By this year, I had been struggling with pains and fatigue, and doctors put it down to IBS in February this year. By October this year I pushed to see different doctors and finally one sent me to have an ultrasound and they found a 10cm endo cyst growing in my right ovary! Apparently contraceptive pills or injection etc does keep endometriosis manageable, and has less risk of cysts getting so big. But that’s not for definite, that’s just one doctors info I had. Another doctor told me I have to have kids quickly or It will be impossible. My left ovary is perfect, no cysts, so he is talking bull aswell.
Go to another doctor and get more info. Good luck with everything 💛
I was diagnosed with endo in 2016 and had the Nexplanon. Had a new one put in my arm on the 5th. I’m not good when it comes to taking pills and had tried the Nuvaring, Depo shot, Mirena, and the pill but found that the Nexplanon helped with my hormones being out of wack the most. Plus my fiance and I have no desire to have kids.
