4 days post op Really bad back pain!

Help!

Had laparoscopy 4 days ago. Cysts wer removed from both my overies and around my bowel.

My incisions are healing well and pain around my shoulders and rib-cage have pretty much stopped. Have passed a few bowel movements also. BUT the pain in my lower back is awful. Is this normal? Im using heat packs to limit this as much as possible. Please someone tell me Ur view?

Hi I hope your recovery is going well. Following a similar procedure I had back pain as you described as well. After speaking to the nurse/doctors I was told it was a combination of the hospital beds, possible gas trapped. It eased up after about 10-14 days but my stomach felt like I was in a car crash for a month! Your body is still healing and even though they say that you will be able to run a marathon a week after a lap it can take much longer to settle. Eat well and move around when possible and I’m sure it will ease. I also rubbed a little ibuprofen gel on my back which helped too. Best wishes
