I'm currently 4 weeks post op for laparoscopy where they found endrometrosis and subsequently removed it (from pelvis and bowels) however I occassionally experience shooting pains in my lower abdomen with a dull ache. Is this normal?
Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi Chloe. Im afraid that aches and pains in the abdomen post lap are often the case for some of us. I had my lap 2 yrs ago to remove benign tumour and endo and still find i need to take regular relief especially during menstration. Sorry I couldnt give better feedback.
Your feedback was appreciated. Thank you. I'm just worried that perhaps something has gone wrong due to the pain I'm experiencing. The hospital where I had my laproscopy done weren't overally helpful - they didn't tell me what to expect ect... So I'm pretty much in the dark as GP doesn't know either. I've had a period since which was painful - I'm going on the basis that I've had my period that everything reproductive is working okay. My main concern is fertility so will be much happier once I'm pregnant.
Ah okay, that's really helpful to know. I was operated on by an endo specialist - not sure if that makes any difference? Unfortunately my experience so far hasn't been very informative - I was given no information regarding my procedure or what to expect once I was sent home and on my discharge summary it just states 'multiple deposits of endrometrosis found and removed'. Obviously at the time after the op finding out further info was the least of my worries. But now I'm at a loose end. Im seeing a duty doctor tonight due to the pain
I think I will request a copy of the report. I looked on your post which is very interesting, I managed to find the site and fortunately the doctor that operated on me was listed on there (phew). Thank you for your information - it has not only been helpful but also very informative so thank you again
