Running post lap/hyst

Hello,

So I had a lap/hyst nearly 4 weeks ago for endometriosis. I’m really missing running and wondered if 3 1/2 weeks post op is too soon to get back running? Thank you

Hi I had to wait 12 weeks before I was allowed to exercise, I go running now but it’s still painful sometimes

Hope your recovery is going well. I had my op last Wednesday. Feeling tired and nauseous but certainly feeling much better than anticipated.

I had pre op physio and specifically asked about exercise. The Physio advised no running or aerobic exercise for 3 months post op. Walking, cycling, cross trainer and swimming are all ok.

Good luck with your recovery 😀.

Thank you. I ended up not running in the end. Do you think Spinning is not a good idea either, if I take it steady? X

Hmm. I think spin would be classed as aerobic exercise too but I don’t know for sure. I’m heading out for my first walk today! Looking to build it up each day but so far feel positive about the surgery. Hope you are having a positive experience too.

Really useful question!

Does anyone have any idea where yoga fits into the recommended time period?
