Bleeding when passing stools and wind

I have serve endometriosis. I have had a MRI scan which confirms thickening on my bowel wall. I am worried this isn’t endometriosis and is cancer . I’m feeling very tired and nauseous. Has anyone else had bowel endometriosis and had bleeding ? I need some reassurance

Hi Metriosisgirl I have the same and am due for surgery end of the month. Firstly can I just say I completely understand how awful it feels- so tiring and rubbish!!

I started bleeding from my bowel over 12 months ago and I’m not even kidding it took them till 2 weeks ago to take any samples. In the end I had to submit a complaint to my doctors surgery before I got the sigmoidoscopy - basically told them that if a man had complained of bleeding from the bowel they’d have been seen on a 2 week wait but because I’m a woman they just tell me it’s endo with no actual tests to check it wasn’t cancer. I had the test 3 weeks later! Best thing I ever did!

Do not let them make assumptions and put your health at risk! Unfortunately, we endo sufferers need to be our own advocates as otherwise we won’t get anywhere. Good luck! Xx

Have you had surgery to remove the endo that you had in bowel? Mine is complicated as I have ovaries that are stuck together, rectovaginal nodule, 2 cysts. Endo in my rectum. I’m hopefully going to get a colonoscopy to find out how much is on my bowel. The specialist I went to see today was rubbish.

I’m also supposed to be starting monthly injections of zoladex and hrt. I’m just unsure if to have ovaries removed and womb removed to stop it coming back or do I just have the endo and cysts removed. This will be my second surgery. I have just had a baby at the end of of April. And found that endo has come back severely and so quickly too. I had stage 4 endo and cysts removed in feb 2018.
