Bleeding when pushing

Hi ladies,

A bit tmi but wanted to ask if you experience small bits of vaginal bleeding/bloody discharge when going for a number 2? Especially when you need to push a bit? I can’t pinpoint if it’s because of my coil, but it’s something I’ve been experiencing on and off since getting it inserted and it’s definitely not my period...

I hope you’re all safe

Hi! Yes absolutely (glad I’m not the only one aha!). I brought this up to my GP when describing her my symptoms and she said she has heard that from other women diagnosed with endo also!

However if you think it could be related to your coil/something to worry about I would definitely arrange a chat with your GP to be safe and secure!

Well wishes :)

Thank you, it definitely feels better to know I’m not the only one. I can’t say for sure it’s the coil, it was in place when I had it checked about two months ago but it’s definitely a weird new symptom! Have you found anything that helps? Do you have a coil? I have a check up call next week so will definitely mention it

I don’t have a coil no, and never thought to seek anything to stop it as it doesn’t happen particularly regularly for me. Definitely seek a GP or specialist’s advice if you’re unsure!

Hello,

I have also been experiencing this for the past 4 cycles. I don't have a coil and haven't changed anything so I don't know why it started. Very unnerving having such a range of symptoms. I hope you find out answers for yours, take care x

Thank you! It’s incredibly unnerving especially when it’s new things added to the list but fingers crossed for us all xx

Thank you, the same to you. And all the best, I hope you can ease your symptoms some❤️

I have this too & I too had the coil fitted a few months ago....as you say, it most certainly isn’t a nice symptom, but it’s nice to know other women experience this too.

I completely agree, knowing it’s not just me definitely helps calm my mind...

The exact same thing happens to me. I have been told by my GP's and Gynae that it is due to the coil although they have never checked.

I am waiting to have another scan just to make sure it is that and not a polyp ora cyst on my remaining ovary. .

I would mention it to your GP and see if they can reassure you. Always best to be safe. x

For sure! I’m not too keen on a scan at the moment with all that’s going on but I have a call with the doctor on Wednesday - hopefully it’s just a random blip that’ll ease in time...

I get a bit of brown bleeding after running so now have to wear tampons when I go for a run. I'm on combined patch. I have endo In my left tube and think that's where the discharge is coming from.

Is it fresh blood? Are you sure it's coming from your vagina? Best to speak to your GP about it just to be on the safe side

I had endo on my uterosacral ligament and considering when it feels achy I figure it’s also coming from. I’m going to discuss it with the doctor, it’s definitely brown and not fresh but I’ve since been passing fairly large clots. The saga continues!

This occasionally happens to me. I'm also on the coil. What happens to me more often than not though is bleeding just after working out or the next day, which also is the body straining. It's driving me mad!

Gosh, I’ve not even attempting working out so I’m not looking forward to more of it! How long have you had your coil for, if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi my name is Kristi, I'm an LVN at the local hospital in Kansas. I would very much advise you to talk to you doctor about the Coil being recalled 6-8 month ago for being faulty!
