Hi Everyone I'm new too this thread but I'm just looking for abit of hope really,I'm almost 24 and been off contraception for 4 years now and after a year off been off I discovered I had mild endo, this came to light in 2016 in which I had surgery to remove. a year ago me and my partner decided we wanted to try conceive. I've had multiple test in-between to check I'm ovulating has I have irregular periods but nothing seemed to worry my GP. At the point of been diagnosed I was told their shouldn't be a problem with me conceving naturally but almost a year in ( apps downloaded to track ovulation, lube to help prompt pregnancy, vitamins etc) I just cant seem to fall on. I have an appointment with my gyne in Novemeber which is so far away as ive been waiting 2 months already. Wondering if theirs anything else natural I can try before I take the IUI or IVF route?

Might be a really odd thing but have you had your partner checked? It isn't all about us, they can have problems too; with motility, amounts, survival rates which we often overlook.

You can ask to be referred or check about going to a fertility clinic where they'll be able to discuss future plans / alternatives in more detail including timescales for tests etc. I know you may have had quite a bit of it already.

I'm sorry that I'm not much help but just thinking of ideas. There are a few certified apps out there which doctors recognise and if you're using them to plan then it'll help with speeding up your treatment as I think you have to show you've been planning for a period of time (logged LH tests and basal temp)- my GP and my endo specialist, including nurses really like the NaturalCycles app, there are a few others out there of course. Some places don't need you to show you've been planning but documenting stuff can't hurt.

There's a few massage things you can try, I've not tried them but I know my massage / aromatherapy specialist has mentioned them, there's ones that work on ovulation and abdomen health.

Check out your local massage center, usually they'll say what they do on their website with the first consultation free, lots do look at fertility and pregnancy so perhaps it's an area to look into. I use mine for pre period massage and aromatherapy oil rubs on the run up to my period. She's specialised everything for me and what I need. I wasn't sure about it before and I know it doesn't work for everyone but I thought I'd give it a go. It's meant to focus on blood / fluid flow and energies, helps to calm, relieve tense areas and move knotted stuff inside. I'm not sold on the reflexology because it feels weird, but I like my abdo and back massage; they really help my period pains. The oils do penetrate to take the edge off the pain and cramps, but again it's different for each person.

xx

That is the next step for us to take after I have my appointment in November, I have briefly been told by one specialist that its possible I have a inhospitable uterus meaning it could be too thick causing no fetus to be able to attach, I'm still completely in the dark with myself atm but soon as If its just time needed for me to fall pregnant then my partner will be getting checked. I don't want to start putting him threw tests if there not needed and it is infact a problem with me if that makes sense. Thanks for the recommendations too I've also been looking into creams that claim to help with Pcos and endo but its not scientifically proven to actually work so I'm not sure if to try or not.

Yeah makes sense, however tests for men are less invasive than us! Plus he could be feeling the same; if it's him why put you through all the tests! Also it may give you peace of mind and be able to focus on you if he's fine, or take time to figure out what's going on with him if something's wrong there, and sort that out if needed. Generally men's problems can be more obvious. Also don't forget we and our cycles are prone to stress so simply the stress of trying, having tests and operations may put enough pressure on our body so it simply isn't the right environment.

By the way, we're not planning or preventing, but when we decide it's all taking too long we've discussed my hubby having his tests done first, as it's easier, less invasive and gives an idea of where the problem could be. My hubbys logic makes so much sense which is why I'm mentioning it!

We often forget men have problems as we're so focussed on it being us so it's worth taking a step back and thinking, plus it gives you a break and a different focus, which may help reduce stress.

Apologies if it sounds one sided, just looking at it from a different angle. A fertility clinic would asses you both equally, and would emphasise tests for both of you, then gather results to work out what the issues are; it could be a combination of a few things.

Not sure about creams either, it's why I went down the natural route xx

Thank you so much for your advice its nice to hear it from someone who understands what your going through and not just a doctor that doesn't seem to get how it affects us or family members that don't get its not easy xx
