Hi I had my first injection yesterday and the injection site sounds squelchy as if the fluid is still under the skin and it is quite tender. Has anyone experienced this?
Prostap for Fibroid Reduction: Hi I had my... - Endometriosis UK
Prostap for Fibroid Reduction
No, this doesn't sound quite right to me. I had a Prostap injection yesterday, in the muscle in the top of my arm and although I have tenderness at the site I don't have any squelchy feeling xxx
Thank you for replying will keep an eye on it and call the hospital if it doesn't improve x
Morning - so the amount of fluid is reducing so it must be sinking in but have a nice bruise coming - will make sure I feed this back when I go again ! How are you feeling on your injections ?
I've had 2 courses previously and starting on my 3rd and have never had this sensation of the fluid taking time to sink in. The injection usually goes into muscle, so in your arm, tummy, bottom. Where was yours given?
I always do really well on Prostap, it stops my bleeding and pain and I'm lucky in that I experience very very few side effects xxx
Hiya - had mine Friday in the top of my arm - there is still a tiny bit of fluid left but it's much better than Saturday ! Now have an awful upset tummy ! I guess there will be some reaction to this drug being in my system. Booked in for keyhole hysterectomy in Feb if this injection can reduce my fibroids - biggest one is 10cm and can feel it now the doctor showed me ! Looking forward to periods every two weeks stopping ! I'm glad the injection is working for you - it's reassured me as was quite anxious over weekend - worse case doctor said he will do the op sooner if these injections don't work so let's see! xx
Ah but I have mine for endometriosis, not fibroids! I don't have fibroids so I'm not sure what the effect would be on them xxx
Can I ask have you had any side effects after Prostap/ Lupron?
