Hiya. I assume your doctor is talking about minimising foods that may aggravate your condition. So typically that’s dairy, gluten, /soy, anything with added hormones. But everything is different for everybody, just do what works for you. To aid recovery stick to fresh fruit & vegetables, plain foods you can handle and lots of water. I know after my op I couldn’t even eat I felt so sick constantly.

Hope that helps a little and good luck 😘

For after your op, and for healing and long term health benefits, there’s a great book on Amazon that I found really helpful. It’s called Heal Endometriosis Naturally by Wendy K Laidlaw. It’s got some great reading inside that you might find useful. I’ve pretty much cut out red meat, sugar, wheat. My three main endo flare culprits. And alcohol obviously doesn’t help because it’s highly oestrogen fuelled and (unfortunately) another baddy! And I now eat a mainly organic vegetarian diet. I do include oily fish though. Plenty of Omega threes from wild salmon (not farmed) and if you google anti inflammatory foods, you’ll find pineapple, kiwi, figs, papaya, blueberries, mackerel or sardines, broccoli, avocado, green tea, peppers, mushrooms, grapes, oh and turmeric are brilliant anti inflammatory foods to introduce a lot into your diet. If you want something sweet dark chocolate is also ok to eat. Please also bear in mind though that if your surgeon didn’t take out all the endo, from everywhere by deep excision surgery, there’s a chance your endo will still hang around, and if he’s recommended any form of hormones, coils, pills etc, they will only mask symptoms/pain so it’s even more important than ever to follow a super healthy anti inflammatory diet. I know when I waiver from mine, I tend to regret it! Hope this helps. Nina.
