Livia TENS machine from USA, little warning...

Hello ladies. I ordered one of these on the 1st August direct from their US website hoping it might help me. I still haven’t received it. It’s the 12th August today and I’m suffering badly with pelvic pain. I paid £169 for it including pads etc, and this money has already been taken from my credit card. I am now told in order to actually get the thing through my door I have to pay another £35 customs charge. This was NOT stated on their website. Seems very unfair to have to pay this extra charge to have it delivered. I’ve complained direct to them, so let’s see their response. Looks like many others are waiting months for a refund if they’re unhappy.........if they get refunded at all because you’re then responsible for paying the £35 to ship it back for a refund!!! Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Anyone also have this experience? I wouldn’t have bothered had I known. Seems like a TENS machine bought from Boots could have been a viable alternative. Just a wee warning.

😔

Oh dear you can buy them on amazon much cheaper next day delivery 😥 where did you purchase it from? They must have a complaint department demand a full refund. If you need help let me know as I’m good at sorting this kind of thing! And I’m in severe pain bleeding heavily right now so feeling very angry so be happy to kick some butt for a fellow sufferer! ☺️🌸xxxx

Yes I know that now. I didn’t do enough research. The £35 is a customs tax, to get it delivered to me. The complaints department just referred me to the terms and conditions on their website. It’s buyer beware! Statuary tax on bringing goods over from the US into this country over the value of £135 but if you check out My Livia, it’s misleading because they state £3 international delivery. Thank your anger. And sorry for your pain. I’m in bed too today with frequent loo trips and I could have done with a Tens machine right now I can tell you!

You can go to your credit card or bank account provider and they can help you deal with it as in get your money back since you have received no goods and it was not clearly stated that you had the extra delivery fee x

Thank you. I did that. I’m with a great bank but apparently although their website is hugely misleading, it’s not illegal. It’s a statutory customs tax on goods over £135. I’ve had to pay the £35 to get it through my door. Just wanted to warn any others. It may be a brilliant device (my period almost over now) so will test next month but message to others...just buy it on Amazon UK!! Thanks for your help and support.
