Stitches haven’t dissolved a months after op ??

Hey ladies so it’s been about a month since my op , my dissolveable stitches are still very present in my tummy . Should I go to a doctor because it’s like they just are not going to dissolve and the ones in the belly button are constantly digging into me . Did anyone else experience this and what did they do how long did they take to go I was told it usually takes about a week or 2 . Thanks

Mine in my belly button took about three weeks. They don't dissolve, or rather perhaps the bit inside does, I don't know, mine kind of fell off from the knot, just had a bit of string type thing fall out at some point leaving little pinholes, those healed.

If they're bothering you, you can request a nurse appointment at your GP center to have them removed xx

Aww thanks hun I may do all 4 incisions on my tummy still have the stitches hanging out but the incisions look like they have healed lol perhaps are make an appointment thankyou for your help

Yes same thing happened to me. I made an appointment with a nurse who removed them, about a month after my lap. She needed a hand from another nurse to do the ones in my belly button as mine is like a black hole 😂. So trying to get those out took some effort but no pain or anything.

I'd make an appointment so long as your incisions have healed it's fine to have then removed.

Aw really , haha yeah thanks hun I think I’m gonna give them a call they just keep stabbing me all the time and like literally none of them have fallen out lol
