Positive Merina Coil Stories .....

So I am 12 weeks post lap on Sunday.

I had the merina fitted during this and graded at severe stage 4 Endo, adhesions all over the show and 8cm cyst removed and left with some urinary and bowel involvement (whatever that means) as those were the exact word she on my post op sheet. But horray for me, I managed to keep all my bits and working.

Basically since having the lap, I’ve been getting this mucus, like a bad cold mucus. So I have to wear panty liners every day. I am told of the doctor this is normal. But I’ve been getting odd bits of blood in there again, nothing compared the horrendous periods and bowel movements previously! So I can cope with this.

But this week, I’ve had a very very stressful week, so much so I think it’s brought on some kind of period. So my question is, any of you with coils still get periods? And have you experienced this mucus thing? I’ve read so much negative stuff about the coils I’d like to hear the positives as everyone seems to be so anti-coils on here.

Hi, I am on my second mirena coil.

They work really well for me. A lot less pain and lighter bleeds than I have when I don't have one. Mine have never been changed or inserted during surgery so I don't know about that part. But I still get periods, just lighter. I get similar discharge to you are describing pretty often. Although that was pretty common for me pre-coil too.
