Hi ladies!
A bit of background first, I’ve been on the combined pill for about 4 years, periods/ withdrawal bleeds were always normal.
In February I started feeling a pressure and heavy feeling in my pelvic area, with a dull aching there and in my lower back. The doctors gave me antibiotics as they thought it was Pelvic Inflammatory Disease but all my STD/ swabs were clear.
The pain went away until May when it came back, they gave me antibiotics again but after I finished the course the pain came back. I stopped taking the pill at this time.
I’ve had blood tests and multiple ultrasound scans and they’re all normal. The only sign is when she pressed my cervix with the ultrasound scanner it was quite painful.
The gynaecologist has given me an injection of Decapeptyl to shut down my ovaries, which I have to take for 3 months, I guess as he suspects endometriosis.
It’s been nearly two weeks since I’ve had the injection and I would say I feel the worst right now. Some days I have strong pain in the uterus/cervix region and then the next day I may have bad lower back pain instead. There have been a couple days inbetween where I’ve had absolutely zero pain at all!
Is this normal? When should I expect to see an improvement?
Are endometriosis symptoms usually this fast changing?
It’s so unpredictable and is ruining my life
Thanks in advance.
