Hey everyone, I hope those who read this aren’t in as much pain as I am at the moment, this flare up has lasted days now. I’m on regular paracetamol, tramadol and naproxen. My hot water bottle has actually started to blister my already mottled skin on my stomach. I’ve tried hot baths too. Does anyone have any suggestions? I just want to cry, I have zero energy, even taking a bath was exhausting, most of the time I’m brave with all this but this time it’s winning. I just don’t know what else to do so just having a wee rant here with people I know will understand. Thanks for reading if you got this far 💛

Sorry you are in so much pain. Have you tried a tens machine like Oovi? I take all those pain meds too and have found adding the tens machine really helps. You can put it on your tummy or your lower back depending on where you get the most pain and I use a wheat bag on the other side of me that I got from Amazon and can tie round me so it doesn't keep falling off. Hope you get some relief soon xx
Hi! I'm sorry you're having a bad time. The only suggestion I have would be to lie on a plug-in heat pad with a heated blanket on top - it's a bit like a bath but without the effort and it stays hot. I used to use a hot-water bottle but found it pressed down on the pain and the heat pad is more adjustable from low for comfort to high if you really need a distraction from the pain. I'm so sorry hun, I've been there, we all have. So thankful that I had surgery to excise my endo in September and since then, I’ve had some semblance of a normal life but it took a long time to get there. The best advice I can give you (and it gave me about six months of relief) is about diet. I know, I know, there’s all kinds of crazy out there about various herbs but it’s much simpler than that. No alcohol, no caffeine, no sugar, no refined carbs, no wheat, no processed foods, no vegetable oils, no hydrogenated fats and keep the protein moderate. Also, get as much olive oil, avocados, flax seeds and salmon (unless you are veggie like me) as you can. Drink as much green tea as you can handle and add turmeric to everything (it’s a great anti-inflammatory – you can also get this is in supplement form). This advice was given to me by a private specialist that cost me £200 for about a ten-minute session and I was more than sceptical since morphine wasn’t making a dent in my pain but to my amazement, it actually worked. For a while anyway. I know this will be hard since the prospect of standing in the kitchen cooking doesn’t appeal when you’re in so much pain and dinner in a box is calling but believe me, it’s worth it. One little anecdote before I let you go. Few years ago, I had just been fired from my job for taking so much time off sick. (Yeah.) Anyway, I was desperate as I was the sole breadwinner and endo or no endo, I still had to pay the mortgage, so I agreed to take on a physically intensive job with a fair bit of travel. The week before I was due to start, my fella and I took a trial run down to my new place of work and I was in tears by the time I got there. I thought I wouldn’t last a day. (I had just started this new diet two days before.) Seven days later, I strolled in, spent all day on my feet and although I was exhausted by the time I got home, barely felt a thing. Couldn’t believe it. Spent about five months in that place before I landed myself a cushy little office job again (just in time as the pain came back fairly soon after) but I got a while out of that and it made all the difference. Six months of relief? Take it.
I am SO SAD to read this. This is just devastating! I remember all too well what those felt like. Mine would last for days if not weeks straight. I had late stage-4 and had the laparoscopic surgery...and it saved my damn life. Have you ever had the surgery? The tramadol and medicines are not going to do anything to help you; just constipate you and mess with your head. It may be time to call your doc as you may need more than just pills to get through this. Try and take deep breaths and know that you are not alone, endowarrior!!!
