Cancelled appt aaagghh

So mad, just had letter to cancel my April appt to Aug 5th! Why do they think we are not important enough to be seen and sorted. So angry, rang but answer service telling me to ring back tomorrow. 4 months is a long time when u r in pain...so unfair.

Hey, have you contacted PALS and complained they may be able to help. Sometimes you really have to exaggerate things and they usually act a bit a quicker xxx

That so unfair, I’d definitely be phoning and complaining, I agree with the other reply, the more you hassle (I know we shouldn’t have too) the more they listen, even if it’s to your GP they can move things on quickly too. Good luck x

Yes have just sent a long email to Pals, Dr appt at 11.40 to see what they can do. So clinging on to this appt, feel so sick about it all just want to sit and cry! X

Rang appts, they offered me September! Rang secretary who said casually, all endo clinic appts have been cancelled! Next appt available in Aug..put me on cancellation list, what a joke. See if dr is any use. How can women be treated like this, so so angry

I had a similar issue. I was due to be seen by gynaecology on 21st March, I had a phone call a few days before saying they had to cancel all appointments that day and that I would get a letter out soon to rebook. About 2 weeks later I got a letter prompting me to go online again and rebook and the next appointment was 31st August!

I called them up the next day to complain about that wait as my referral was sent back in January! They have now put me in for sat 27th April thank god!

Just had reply from complaints dept, they are looking into it! I just feel for everyone who is going thru this awful illness and not being listened to or understood and we are made to feel like its us just making a fuss about nothing. Why? I will keep shouting until I am listened to, if I have the energy! Good luck with your appt x

I just had my April appointment cancelled no new appointment sent. It's so fustrating I feel abandoned. My last consultant I had one appointment and then he went on sick and then retired. I was left to cope for 12 months. Now I have a new consultant and seen her once now she has cancelled me. I don't know if they have any understanding of what we have to live with. I hope you are not struggling too much. Get sorted. You can contact PALS if you want to complain. Take care.

It is so unfair, I have complained and they are going to look into it and get back to me..Dr said he will write a letter and prescribed me with ibs meds! The secretary at the hosp said its not urgent! Feel so deflated with it all, thought this was the year it was going to be sorted...been going on and on. Hyst didnt cure it so waiting for ovaries to be taken out now which they should have done with the hyst but I was too young at 41! Aaggh Its just not good enough, I thought things were improving for endo awareness but not enough experts out there for us to see. Hope your appt is before August! X
