So after 5 years of asking, I joined a new doctor a few years ago and we are finally getting my pain sorted out and going for a diagnosis at a private hospital! I can’t wait to finally find out why I’m passing out and why I’m in pain for most of my periods. I had a Transvaginal ultrasound 4 years ago and was told I was fine, but the pain has gotten bad to the point where I can’t lay on my left side at night and recently I’ve felt like throwing up with pain. When I got my hospital appointment through it just said ‘pre-op appointment’ with no idea what I’m exactly going for can someone please help me with what questions I can ask besides ‘what is the procedure?’ as I know i’ll Have to ask that question!!
For info, I’m 25 and have had period pains for 5-6 years, my left hip is the one causing me pains, pain killers don’t help much, sometimes not even strong ones!
Thanks

Hey, a pre op is just were they check your blood pressure, heart rate, bmi, swabs for MRSA I think it is. It’s just so the doctors know about your health and what dose of anaesthesia and medications etc during surgery.
I just asked questions about things I was worried about like being put to sleep and how long I’ll have to rest before I can play sports or go gym etc. xxx
Yeah, the lap was my first surgery and it’s honestly nothing to worry about (I’m scared of hospitals etc). It felt weird being put to sleep but then I woke up 3 hours later in recovery as if time had gone super fast haha. Worse part was recovery as I was so bored xxx
