1st laproscopy tomorrow... veey nervous

Hi everyone , im having my first lap tomorrow and im feeling anxious , mainly about the GA , they say they wont go ahead with it if you have a cough or cold etc.. and typically ive started coughing today i feel fine just a little niggle!

Has anyone had a laproscopy and had a cough or runny nose pre - lap?

Did it all go ok?

Hi you will be fine and it’s not as bad as what you imagine. You are under GA very quickly, it feels like when you have had too many drinks and your head spins then you are out of it.

You will feel drowsy and maybe vomit several times but that’s normal.

I had my lap and was very nervous, more so on the day, you will feel relief once it’s over. I think if your cold isn’t too bad they will go ahead with it.

Can i ask how long it all takes from first arriving to coming home? Or did you have to stay in ? X

I stayed in overnight which was planned, I went private, I was sick and couldn’t urinate so lucky I was in overnight x

Oh gosh that sounds awful 🙁 , im not a fan of being sick, dont think many are mind!!
