Endo on scar

I just wondered if anybody has experienced endo on an external scar. I have a very large old appendix scar which due to poor surgery years ago is sort of attached to my insides. I am waiting to have surgery for endo and the surgeon thinks it is endo on the scar inside which has possibly fused to my bowel. Only thing is when I have a flare up the scar sort of opens (tmi) and becomes sore and inflamed and very painful.

Oh bless you! I think I have a similar sort of thing I had open surgery appendix removal and that’s where I get most of my pain. Before I knew about Endo and started going through treatment I thought the scar on my inside had not healed properly. It’s horrible (pain wise) on top of usual pain. My Endo specialist said that he thinks it may be attached to the inside of my scaring as I have a lump where the scar is. I’m going for a lap on the 10th to look into everything more I can keep you posted if you like. But honistly don’t worry about being TMI the whole process isn’t pleasant but we’re all only human. It’s not gross it’s just anatomy. 😊 if the old wind is opening on the outside? - then I recommend you keep it really clean with iodine and seek medical advice as it could get infected and it might be that they need to re stitch. Not sure but just a thought. Hope this helps x
