Constant Uti's with and without positive test results

Does anyone else have this. I've had bladder and urethra scans and been told there is nothing wrong and that I can't have endo in these areas. Also told not to take antibiotics and that there is some cause other than infection! Very confused. Symptoms do usually resolve with antibiotics.

Hey. Have a read up about Interstitial Cystitis, it may explain a lot of your symptoms. Often in this case the infection won’t show on tests even though you still have it.

My gynaecologist told me that many women with endo also have IC x

When I didn’t realise I had endometriosis, I had a few negative tests for UTIs / Kidney infections. It turned out I had a lot of endometriosis wrapped around my ureter (so a little higher up) as well as other places. I was later told it would present like a UTI because of the damage it was causing my ureter. X

Hi, no do you think an MRI would help? Thank you for the other replies too, really identifying with IS.

Worth exploring this as well, thanks. Although I don't just get bladder irritation but feeling v unwell, pain, hot, nausea, headaches and sometimes blood in wee.

It’s been a problem for me for the last 15 yrs or more.

I was on zoladex for 2 yrs and definitely made this worse.

I get so many UTIs about half being confirmed as positive.

Over the years I’ve had my urethra stretched and also internal medication through a catheter which was done over a period of 8wks, once a wk at the hospital.

I’ve had that many antibiotics I’m surprised I’m not immune to them all x
