dizziness and nausea without pain?

Hey

So I’ve been having a terrible time forever with my cycle but particularly the last year since I had my little boy.

I’ve always suspected endo but before I had a child was told I couldn’t have a lap because there was a risk or perforation and that could damage my chances of conception.

Anyway since my child I’ve been back and forward to my GP and FINALLY had a telephone app with a gynae on Friday who has put me on the wait list for surgery - but doesn’t know how long that will be.

I have the regular symptoms of endo but I also am experiencing nausea, dizziness and I’m lightheaded without pain (on my good pain days I should say) It’s particularly bad during ovulation and the week before my period so it’s not blood loss. I’m just wondering if anyone else experiences this?

I feel pressure in my head and ears on lying down and generally just feel awful like I’m hungover or sea sick.

I get this too but you hopefully have had other checks to rule other health concerns out ? So hormone screening panel and other general health functions ( thyroid, blood sugars , iron , B12 , Vit D , liver, kidney , inflammatory markers ,prolactin for example ) as well as BP and Urine checks. A full work up is really required to exclude other or additional issues.

So sorry to hear you’re also going through this it’s awful. Finding it quite debilitating tbh as bad if not worse than when I’m in pain. Do you get both the head pressure feeling and the nausea?

Oh my gosh thank you so so much for these recommendations. I haven’t had any investigation for the dizziness so I will ask my GP to do the tests you’ve recommended whilst also waiting for my lap

I really appreciate your help.

Good luck - I used to but not now - it’s been a process of unraveling and realising more than one thing can be happening

Drops in oestrogen can affect hearing and balance - try going to Dr Louise Newson’s Balance website

I am like this too it's very odd and seems to follow my cycle too. No one confirms this is the norm unfortunately and no one seems to know. When I pursued it I got treated for vertigo. 🙈

I’m sorry you’re also going through this but also kinda relieved to know I’m not the only one. I finally had a phone app with gynae last Friday and I’m on the waiting list for a lap (who knows how long) but my symptoms are getting worse every month and I just worry it’s something else going on maybe as well as endo. How long have you felt like this for? Does anything help?

My worst times seem to be during ovulation. And then it’s the week before my period this week and it’s back. Do you also get head pressure? I’ve never been a nauseous / head achey person. It’s just since the endo symptoms ramped up

Hi,

Have you had Covid at all prior to these symptoms??

I have nausea and vague dizziness pretty much all the time and was always worse at ovulation/ period. I always blamed it on my endo getting worse. My gynae looked perplexed and didn’t really address it.

I now know it is part of my autonomic dysfunction caused by Long Covid. I just feel pretty awful all the time. If you have a heart rate monitor or a Fitbit, keep an eye on your heart rate in the 5 to 10 minutes after standing. My heart rate will jump from 72 to 125 just my getting up and moving around.

Just something to think about as it may be nothing to do with endo. I’ve also had pretty much all the blood tests on offer and they are always within range so no easy diagnosis from the gp!
