positive results reducing size

Hi everyone,

Recently found out I have a 7.8cm endometriosis cyst on my left ovary.

Would prefer to not to have surgery done until after having children to avoid accidently losing any eggs.

Has anyone here been able to reduce the size of their endo cysts using holistic methods?

Thank you!

hi, I’ve been having a treatment called deep oscillation therapy. I have endo and I have been getting a lot of pain on right side hip and groin and ovary. I’m not sure what has caused the pain as just waiting for my results from a scan but just wanted to say since having this treatment once a month (only once a month because it’s £60 a go) wojls have more if I could afford it. The pain has massively reduced and I really feel like it’s shrunk whatever was causing the pain. Worth a shot if you can afford to try it. It’s great for reducing inflammation . Be interesting to see what comes back from my results as to what has been causing the pain as wonder if it is a cyst too as been having bladder issues.

Hi! Sorry to hear this I know it’s not nice. I was 43 when I found out I had an Endometrioma in my left ovary but I’d already had my Daughter 5yrs earlier. I reluctantly had surgery as my GP scared me by saying other stuff so I went private but unfortunately the surgeon didn’t remove anything & literally just looked inside & confirmed it was an Endometrioma cyst & deep Endometriosis 🤦🏻‍♀️ he pushed for me to go on drugs to induce fake menopause which I refused. I got my GP to refer me to one of the specialist centres where I chose to be a watch & see case. I have a scan every year. The cyst remained a similar size, Approx 2cm, however when I went last year it had gone!!! Recently had this years scan & it’s still nowhere to be seen but neither are my ovaries! They’ve shrivelled up due to my age now and I know that I have been in peri menopause for a good few years now, which has been awful and I also now have 4 fibroids 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, my point is mine disappeared on its own & didn’t give me too much trouble but this could be due to my age etc? Once I was diagnosed I knew what the pain was & managed it. Weight & diet along with stress levels definitely play a part so control these! I thought that any over 5cm they like to remove but obviously it’s your choice! Maybe give the treatment that croydebay mentions a go. I hope everything works out for you whatever you decide to do! 🤞

That’s really good to hear as I’m very reluctant to want to have surgery unless it’s life threatening. I too try very hard to manage my symptoms with holistically and with diet etc as you said as they can all help. Th is is my feeling that I hope in time it just all shrivels up and disappears. I am 42 too also and wonder if my symptoms have got worse due to Peri but also waiting on results next week to see if I am as my doctor seem to think I’m too young

Yes I’m of the same thinking, only if it’s life threatening. I have bad health anxiety so don’t cope well with anything medical 😩 the pain you describe is what I used to get and on occasion still do but I no longer have the cyst so could be my fibroids or just the Endo 🤷🏻‍♀️ if I think about it I believe my peri menopause journey started around age 42 so you are not too young! I had bloods done that suggested I wasn’t but I knew I was! They’re not accurate as your hormones are constantly fluctuating! I’m going to look into the treatment you mention. All the best with your onward journey!

I also have bad health anxiety too with anything medical and compeletly avoid it. I have put of this off for years but with the new pains and bladder issues I felt it was time to get checked. I get my results next week from the scan and bloods but feel so worried as know something else is wrong. Yes have a look you basically just sit there for an hour and the therapist hold is hand over your over gently rubbing and you have to hold the other end of device in your hand. It’s not painful in anyway. I could not move my leg out at all it was so severe the hip and groin pain eg when trying to do breaststroke I just couldn’t do it and now I can. I still get he off pain when I flare but not everyday like I was thanks to this treatment . I’m not saying it will work for everyone but I’m willing to give anything a go that is natural. He also recommends rubbing castor oil on them some DMSO for the pain but I haven’t tried this yet. That’s next on my list. My therapist talks be try highly of this treatment for pain. Have a look at that too

Thank you for this. My GP has recently referred me to a specialist so it's really helpful to know there is an option to be a watch and see case. The gynaecologist did warn me that they will want to remove it especially if I want to start fertility treatments.

Sorry to hear about your condition. Having these health issues can be a real emotional rollercoaster. Wish you everything off the best on your healing journey!

Hi, I had an 8cm cyst (endometrioma) on my left ovary and was told to have it removed before starting IVF. Unfortunately within a few weeks of having a laparoscopy to remove it, the cyst had reappeared and was already back at 7cm. My AMH also dropped significantly after the surgery. So I would definitely recommend being cautious about having surgery and maybe get a few opinions. If it isn’t causing you too much pain and other complications then watch and wait may be the best approach. Hope that helps.
