Fighting to be seen by hospital

Hi there I have had two surgeries before for endos and for the last 6 months my symptoms are changing and my pain is getting worse but every time I go to the doctors there just giving me more drugs and not sending me off for scans or refer me to the hospital and I keep

Asking and all I get is you haven’t had this yet and I get send away with more drugs that are not working and making me worse had anyone got any advice on what I can do ? Thanks xxx

Hi, sorry to hear you are struggling to get heard. I’ve had very similar over the last few years too. I recently moved to a new surgery and asked for a referral and they did it straight away without question - can you look at changing surgery?

My referral has had a 5.5 mth wait though (Bristol area) - although the GP was thinking of an emergency referral a few weeks ago as the pain was so bad. I finally have my appointment next week so fingers crossed once I am in the system it won’t take too long for tests etc.

I have also paid to see consultants privately before who have then sent me to their NHS clinic. Cost couple of hundred pounds for private consultation, but did work as a quick back door into their NHS clinic! Not sure they would all do it but maybe work a try?
