Getting pregnant

Hi guys,

I have endo but me and my partner have been trying for a baby for 5/6 months with no luck!

I am getting worried and stressed out, worrying something is wrong. My partner is more relaxed and says not to worry until we meet the year mark of trying. We are having sex every day if not every other day, I am tracking my ovulation (I am not always regular so this is hard) and I am taking folic acid most days.

I am wondering if you guys have any tips? I have looked into the joint conception vitamins and am wondering if they are worth a try, does anyone have experience with these?

Any advice would be much appreciated, I am desperate for some good luck too :)

Thanks guys,

Georgia

How old are you Georgia? I'd had endometriosis for 20 years and luckily fell pregnant after 5 or 6 months trying when I was 37. I found out that my ovaries were not affected at that time so maybe that is why I was lucky.

I was planning to go on holiday ( because I didn't think I'd fall pregnant) and decided to try and lose some weight - I was eating healthily and cut put booze completely to get that bikini bod ! Maybe it helped me conceive... ?!

Thank you so much for your response.

I’ve been thinking of doing this, I’m not a massive drinker anyway so I think I’m going to cut it out and try and lose a little weight.

I’m really hoping March is a good month 🤞🏻🤞🏻xx

Good luck . Try not to worry, sometimes it can take a young and healthy couple up to 12 months to conceive. X

Hi Georgia,

I don't think you can really tell whether endo is going to affect your Fertility or not. Definitely keep doing the things that you are doing, but the best piece of advice someone gave me was to go and see a GP even if it hadn't been a year of trying.

I don't want to worry you, as you may conceive naturally anyway, but getting treatments can take forever and you'd rather get that journey started quicker. Tbh just getting tests done can take months and you can still try naturally in the meantime, it just means you're cutting out unnecessary waiting time. I wish I had gone to GP alot earlier about periods because it's taken me three years to finally get treatment for fertility as it turned out I can't conceive naturally.

I still went to GP earlier than a year and said I was worried about periods (I didn't know I had endo). I needed to have surgery and other endo treatment before they could sort my fertility out.

Honestly I don't want to worry you because I know of people with endo who have conceived easily, but I am really glad I didn't wait longer for it to happen naturally. Go see your GP, tell them you're worried, and just keep trying. Fingers crossed it will happen for you soon X
