Hey everyone, I’m just wondering can endometriosis cause pain in the stomach around the bellybutton area? If you’ve read my last posts you’ll know that I’m still waiting for a diagnosis for endo and have a lot of the symptoms, but for the past 2 days I’ve been getting a really bad pain in my stomach around my belly button and don’t have a clue what it could be. Has anyone with endo ever experienced this or know if it’s a possibility? Starting to get a bit worried now as it’s getting worse and more frequent

Pain in bellybutton
pain around the belly button area was my worst symptom. would happen couple of days before my period . was so bad i had to call the emergencies every time. do you have bloating? if you do (like i did), try a low fodmap diet and avoid food which will bloat you
Omg really! I always get pain in my stomach but this is the first time I’ve had it near my bellybutton, it’s the weirdest feeling! Yeah I’m constantly bloated lately it’s awful, definitely need to try the low fodmap diet as it’s getting worse and I can’t even fasten most of my pants anymore because of it
I get a lot of pain around my belly button too, it feels like something is pulling on it from inside. Very horrible feeling and sometimes comes with bloating. Just another fun endo symptom to contend with..
Hey Lovely,
I used to get pain around my belly button and it progressively got worse around the time of my period from month to month until one month I started bleeding from there. The short version of the story is I went to A&E, I had umbilical endometriosis and I had to have a huge surgery to remove all the endo growth from there and around my urethra.
Not trying to scare you, but best to try and get a doc app as soon as possible. Could be anything but best to get it checked asap.
If you want to chat more about symptoms etc, I am happy to, just let me know.
All the best xx
Omg that’s so scary, I never realised how bad endo could be until I came on here and heard everyones stories, it’s awful! Still waiting for my first appointment but its taking forever, and I’m still getting the bellybutton pain every now and again, but no bleeding as of yet, touch wood haha! Sorry for the late reply, I must have missed your comment xxx
Hello there, endometriosis can affect all over your body and most often the stomach and digestive systems. I had have surgeries through my belly button and it can still get infected sometimes which is a nightmare I have a prescription cream that helps. I have inside pain occasionally and discomfort as well, especially after eating gluten or sometimes lactose. You can try eliminate anything with high FOD-map and see if it improves. x
I get pain in belly button although had 2 surgeries through it so kind of expect it. Very bloated lately even following low fod map diet x
