Desogestrel?

I got put on desogestrel in December, according to my gyno they would stop my periods. However I've been bleeding, in January and now again. Painful heavy bleeding to. Anyone else had this?

i asked to try it to see if it would relieve some of the back pain and other pains for me and it has helped a bit. i also only get spotting now. First couple of months, I got my period pretty much as usual also quite heavy bleeds but this has now stopped. I've been on it for about 4 months +. Initially it didn't do much and it hasn't really improved things a lot but it has helped somewhat with my lower back pain. It may be worth trying to stay on it for a couple more months to see if things improve for you.
