I had a jaydess fitted during my diagnostic lap back in Oct. I chose Jaydess as its smaller and i wanted to be on contraception but didnt get on with the mirena many years ago and the non hormone coil they just couldnt fit in me.

My periods are heavier since going on it and more frequent, i use to be 28 days and now it comes earlier. I get bad cramps (although these arent that noticeable as my endo pains are excruciating) during my period and i get twinges through out the month which feel like the cervix contracting. Has my smear test last month and asked the nurse to check it was in place, which it is.

Definitely go see your gyno if you are having unexplained pains x

Hi, just wondered how you are getting on with Jaydess coil? I’ve decided to have mine removed during my surgery to remove the endo next month. I don’t seem to be getting on well with it which is frustrating but stuck it out for 6 months.

Hello lou840,

I think I'm going ok with it. Between months I feel no jaydess pain, ie no pain walking etc, (wereas the mirena caused me trouble walking and a lot of unnessasary pain). The jaydess felt like it slipped in December 2018 (3 months ago), within a week it must have moved back into place. During my periods, I think its ok to, not that I don't get any pain, but I think its damping things down. It's definatley settled in my now, though the first few months were a bit of a roller coaster, i've now had it for 7 months and 2 months ago I thought i was going to have to have it out, as january went crazy, i had this queer fuzzy pain period type pain and my whole body was all feverish and shakey!!??, and now i coudn't be more glad I've kept it in, it suddenly feels like its my best friend....So confusing, but i think its suddenly settled. I can't wait to see how my next period goes with it, as this will be a true reflection of how it works for me, now that I feel a lot better. I can now see that a jaydess doesn't suit if between periods its causing problems with pain and walking etc. I don't get bleeding which is a total bonus too.

I was so hoping it would be the bc that worked for me. Yes I had the same pains walking etc with the mirena. When you say no bleeding as in no period bleeding? Urgh I wish I had that, mines made mine so much heavier and longer I’m up all night changing pads when I’m on (sorry tmi).

Ah so pleased it is working for you and I hope your next period is a good one!

Yes, I get no period bleeding. Only a tiny little spec which i never need to wear a pad for.
