Upcoming period

So I’ve been told by my doctor to take the pill constantly for 3 months then have a weeks break, it’s now come to the weeks break and I am so scared to have a period. I haven’t had to take time off work in the 3 months but now I’m just scared of the pain. This isnt how I want to live my life 😫

I do the same thing (9 weeks on, 1 week off) and I felt exactly the same as u the first few times, I was so scared because I had actually forgotten just how bad it was! I have been doing that for about 4 years now though and honestly yes the week off is horrific but its made my life more managable in general having 4/5 or so periods a year rather than 12 so try to keep that in mind and once u get used to it then (for me anyway) it was worth starting doing it 😊

I am lucky my work are really understanding with all of this but the first time I had to explain to each of my managers (I work on different projects) that I would need time off/to work from home every 9/10 weeks was a bit of a weird conversation... Is your work understanding/accommodating?

Not at all, my work doesn’t understand how much pain I can be in, it’s horrible

Im sorry to hear that. Not sure if u have a manager u could maybe try and explain what endo actually is to and see if it makes any difference? I really hope that being on the pill back to back helps u
