Feeling very down 😣

I am feeling so upset tonight, very teraful i think i am just having a rubbish day but i started the mini pill around 2 weeks ago and I just feel like im back to square one i had the coil taken out a few months back as i was suffering from awful symptoms and also my mental health was really bad anyway i had a brief break because the gyne said if i didnt go on something else i would be back to square one (endo growing back) so i have been prescribed the mini pill as i cant take combined pills as i have aura migranes. I have taken it for around 2 weeks and my moods have been bad again i keep comming over really angry snapping at my partner but he is so good and so understanding im suprised he has put up with me for 12 years! I just feel like i have lost alot of feelings again and i am so scared of it getting worse my boobs are so sore and lumpy and its just really bringing me down do things get better on the mini pill? I feel like im going crazy but i know its never gonna be that straight forward any words of advice would be very much appreciated thankyou xx

Sorry to hear you’re having such a rubbish time. Like you, I can’t take the combined pill and although I could tolerate Cerazette it didn’t completely stop my cycle so my consultant doubled the dose. Within a few weeks my mood was terrible. I have been through a lot in life and had always maintained a sense of humour. It completely left me on this medication and a very good friend recognised it as being ‘not me’ and ‘hormonal’. I had started to feel like life was not worth living. I rang my consultant who rang me back within an hour and I came off Cerazette. Progesterone only pills do have depression as a likely side effect. Unfortunately that left Decapeptyl injections as a next treatment option. For me this is OK. You may be a lot younger and therefore not OK but you really can’t stay on your minipill if it’s making you feel like this. I remember it too well. Hugs. X
