Microgynon 30 contraceptive

I was prescribed this pill and took it on the 5th day of my period. I have been taking it each day at the same time since, but had sex on the 5th day (yesterday) of taking the pill. I have took it again today, but I’m unsure if I was therefore protected or not as some websites say if you begin the pill anywhere from the 1st to 5th day or your period then you are protected from that day, whereas others say you must take it for a week before it is effective. Any advice?

Tbh I have been told so many things too. I’ve been told a week, 5 days and even the third day after your period you’re safe. I’m sure you’ll be fine! If you’re worried about it just buy a test in a week or so but I’m sure it’s fine!
