Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to maybe slow down bleeding?!

Currently on holiday (last day) and my bleeding is so heavy like heavier than usual.

I had to buy big night pads and Iā€™m soaking through them every 1-2 hours. When Iā€™m changing my pad, blood is just everywhere (sorry tmi) and itā€™s there when I go for a wee as well.

Itā€™s making me feel very dizzy and the hot weather is making me feel worse right now.

Iā€™m drinking lots of water and trying to relax in the sun but Iā€™m so bloated I canā€™t lie down

So sorry to hear this is spoiling your holiday. I can't help with advice for soaking through your pads, however in terms of the dizziness, you need to get some electrolytes in you as well. Water is great for hydration, but the amount of blood you're losing will be affecting your iron levels, so try eating some iron rich foods (green leafy veg like spinach, maybe with a steak!), and see if you can get some drinks with high electrolyte content in them. I wouldn't normally do so, but as you're on holiday and it might be all you can get, see if you can find some lucozade sport. It's still and will help keep you hydrated, but also has electrolytes and sugar in it which should help.

Try staying in the shade a bit more too, being in full on sunshine won't be helping much!

Hope you feel better soon lovely

Xxx

Thank you, Iā€™m sat in like half shade, half sun.

Iā€™ll have to try and find some lucozade somewhere xx

Thereā€™s nothing around here, the walk to the pharmacist is so far. Iā€™m hoping Iā€™ll feel better for tomorrow afternoon when I fly home.

Iā€™ll see whatā€™s in the restaurant tonight to help my iron levels etc xx
