so I’ve just got back from a holiday to Paris with my boyfriend. 2 days ago we had sex in the morning and it really hurt (painful sex has never been a symptom of mine). We then had sex again that evening and the pain was horrendous I was crying out in pain and was desperate to go to the hospital but I had no insurance so I just cried the pain out and waited till I went. Every movement was just agony. I come back last night and decided to make a gp appointment today. I’m going at 7pm but I feel like they aren’t going to do anything because it was days ago now. What should I do?

I’m sorry I read this too late to reply-I hope you decided to go to the dr. I probably would have done the same as you and waited if no insurance. Not to say that’s the right thing. Whilst painful sex is a symptom of endo, it’s not ‘normal’ and you should definitely get it investigated. Good Luck.... xxx

I went to the gp who refused to examine me because he hasn’t done a pelvic exam for years. Going back on Wednesday but I doubt there going to do anything x

SERIOUSLY??!!! That is absolutely disgusting-at the very least someone else should have done it! I’m horrified.

I know. The shock on his face when I started saying what was wrong was actually funny. Obviously it’s nothing bad because the pain hasn’t happened again but I haven’t had sex since I’m too scared xx

Can’t say I blame you. In my honest opinion if a dr can’t carry out a general examination on any part of the body they should not be practicing! Good luck for Wednesday-if there is anything I’ve learned it’s that you know your body, if something is wrong get it checked. If they don’t help or support to your satisfaction, change surgeries. I did. Xxxx

I know. Luckily the gp I’m seeing on Wednesday used to be a gynae before she went into gp. This is a brand new surgery the first time I had been there xx
