Hi I've been reading over posts regarding pain after the protap injection. I used to have zoladex implant in my abdomen, bit after 15 months the scar tissue was so bad it was difficult for a nurse to inject easily without pain. I'm on my 2nd prostat injection now, in my arm..left lastonth right arm this month. I understand you can get pain at the site on the injection..but mine seems to be unbearable. I can't lift my arm or move it to even pick up a remote control! It's so painful last month it was like this for a week, then the pain subsided bit came back 2 days later!! I can't sleep on the side, steer my car..etc without pain. Has anyone else had this.? After 18 days it disappeared x

I had the prostap injections in the stomach on alternate sides each time.
Hi , sorry you are suffering , it is best in your stomach , I had it in my arm once and it was so painfully. Are you taking HRT also ? .
It does sound strange to inject your arm! I get mine around my tummy, as MrsHop says, on alternate sides. I’ve asked for the injection to be higher up because the waistband of my trousers always press on it otherwise, and I’ve found that helps. She also injects a local anaesthetic in the area, and I find it keeps the ache at bay for a day or so, and by then it goes away.
