Endo and water infections

Hi, I was diagnosed with endo after an op in 2012. I had a few problems with periods afterwards and had to have injections or the pill. I had a good 4 years with only mild symptoms but more recently (Last 2 month's or so) I have had a continuous water infection. I have had 4 lots of antibiotics that clear this up but it always comes back. I feel like it is when I am ovulating and when I have a period. My doctor thinks that this is related to the endo but I was just wandering if anyone else has suffered from intense water infections with endo. When I have a flare up I am stuck in the bathroom for around 4 hours as I can't be too far away from the toilet for long as I need a wee as soon as I stand up. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Hi. I am under the care of an endo specialist and they have requested 6 mth Kidney scans and blood test to check functioning as endo can effect your urinary tracks. Might be worth speaking to your GP about x

My doctor has got me another appointment at gyno, so I hope they will look into what is causing it and don't just fob me off cos they know I have endo. I will mention about kidney scans and blood tests thank you xx

I know how you feel. After my lap I had water infection after water infection. I’ve always been prone to them, whether endo related or not. The other day I felt another one coming on, I’ve not been looking after myself as late and I bought a big bottle of pure cranberry juice. I think it helped, it could have been the fact I consumed more fluids though. Usually by the time I’m dealing with the water infection it’s very painful and my lower tummy is on fire. Try taking cranberry capsules daily - supposed to help xx

Thanks for the advice. I am rubbish at drinking water throughout the day as I am often so busy but these last few months it has been one water infection after another. Doc keeps giving me three day course of antibiotics and it clears it for around a week then it comes back.

That burning feeling is just awful and when I'm on the toilet both my bladder and bowel seem to spasm out of control. The doc has sent me to gyno again as he is convinced it is the endo. I just hope they get to the bottom of it as it is really getting me down now. Was stuck on the toilet at work the other day, it was mortifying.

Will go and get a big bottle of pure Cranberry juice as well as tablets, Thanks again for advice xx
