Has anyone been able to do pelvic exercise after lap?

Hi ladies, this is my fifth lap already and turning 40 in two years time! I always felt blessed an lucky that even having my two children I had a very good figure and a flat stomach with no stretch marks I never did any hard core exercise I only danced now I can’t even do that without feeling exhausted, but now it is not the case my stomach looks like a map because of all the bloating caused by endometriosis and a very flabby stomach 😤!! I have lost all my strength in my lower back and pelvis and I can’t do much exercise, waking only triggers the pain again. I really don’t know what to do, it has been 8 months and I believe my endo is coming back again 😭, would it be because of my age or because endo has really destroyed all my physical and mental abilities! I am a fighter but to be honest this is such a hard battle.

Aww, I had the no strength in my lower back thing too.

I went to see a physio / movement / mobility specialist and he said it's really common after trauma to our core such as childbirth, laparoscopies, appendix removal, he sees it a lot. It's because the core has been changed and is weak so the back compensates, however it does this by protecting us from doing damage to our back thus tightening it. I can't flex my lower back so all my lower / pelvic / bum cheek muscles are weak and tight. He's working on massages, manipulation and core exercises with me to loose the tight muscles and strengthen the core.

I do pole-fitness and yoga so I know my back is rubbish especially after ops, but even after three physio classes and listed exercises at home I feel stronger in my back and core. Plus those lower back endo symptoms are more manageable as my endo flareups now don't inflame my back and core so much - less bloating as there no where for it to bloat with strong core muscles lol! I'm getting there.

Deffo look into physio but look for one that specialises in trauma / operation recovery.

Happy to talk more xx
