Post op confusion

I’m just a little confused . When I left the hospital after the Laparoscopy. They said I’ll have a post op appointment either 6/8 weeks . I assumed that they would go through what happened in surgery in detail and next steps . Am I wrong ? What is the post op for .

I received an appointment letter today in a years time for a follow up appointment with the consultant or member of the team . So now I’m confused .

Hi, I had he exact same thing... I’ve got mine end of this month which was 6 weeks following. I got barely any info in hospital, I went to my doctor to ask for a bit of detail but I have to wait to see the the doctor who did the surgery to get the most info and understanding of everything. Nightmare really. The post op is to run through everything, them to check/examine you and I assume to see what’s going to happen from now on.

Understand the confusion! Xxx

Hi, it’s okay 😊 I didn’t feel I’d be much help as in sismlar situation but at least it cleared up the part that it’s normal to wait that long! Lol me to, I have a list already written, which I’m adding to weekly!! Hope all goes well xxx
