Another Lap?

Hi everyone,

I had my surgery in March 2017. I got diagonised with stage one endometriosis.

My pains are really strong at the moment. Every day I’m experiencing discomfort and i’m at a loss what to do?

When/how often do people have surgery?

What surgery did you have? As in what did they do to your endometriosis? Did they remove it? There's a few ways to do that. Also did they tell you where it is?

A second operation really depends on what they did in the first and what they still feel needs to be done.

Just for info:

My first operation was a diagnostic laparoscopy with removal of endometriosis (if any) by excision (cutting away), this also included a hysteroscopy and biopsies. It was found I had severe endometriosis sticking my bladder to my uterus and my uterus to my bowel with endo adhesions all over. In the first op they unstuck everything and removed endo from my bladder and uterus. They left the bit on the bowel as they wanted a bowel surgeon present, which is understandable. I could have that done later / leave it until my symptoms worsened. I chose to have the second lap to remove that bit as leaving it meant it could either stay the same or get worse and I didn't want it perforating the bowel (more complex op). I had my first op in November 2017 and my second in July 2018. They did not find any regrowth so once I've recovered fully that should be it for a while.
