I got a call this morning saying I’ve to have a phone consultation with my consultant on Tuesday to go over the op and the aesthetic etc. And who will then book me in for a lap.
I was wondering if there are any questions I should be asking? Or any you wished you’d asked before your lap?
I’ve been told to ask for pictures to be taken and to double check if they are going to laser off anything that’s found.
Is there anything else pre op/ during op/ after op you think is worth asking?
I was so pleased to hear I was getting my lap but now I’m nervous as it is all becoming quite real!
TIA

You may not see this before your phone consultation today, but you may find this page on our website helpful endometriosis-uk.org/seeing.... It tells you a bit more about what to expect and suggest some questions you might want to ask.
I hope the consultation goes well and you get some of your questions answered
Hey, I asked my surgeon questions like how will it be removed and would he check everywhere. And the aesthetic guy was so nice and answered my questions. I was petrified of the tube down my throat but I was fast asleep when it was removed. The sore throat was a killer though for about a week.
My consultation was on the day of my lap but I know the feeling of it becoming quite real as I felt like that at the pre op centre.
I was surprisingly really calm on the day of the op haha as the nurses were so nice and it all happens so fast xxx
Yeah it’s put in once you’re asleep and taken out when you can breathe on your own again but I woke up with it out.
Yeah it was my first surgery too and I was nervous a few days before but once I was there and saw how nice the nurses and anaesthetist were, I was so calm. I was so tired and hungry that being put to sleep was nice haha xxx
