So I got my period a week after my lap and it was painful for most of the day and codeine wasn’t even touching the pain. I did notice it was a lot heavier and so many big clots 😫 like I’m going through pads every 2-3 hours.
I know healing is still taking place inside but is this all normal?

very very normal especially when it's so soon after ur op, u shld notice a big difference ur next period, I don't even have a uterus anymore and I still get period pains it's the strangest thing but putting it down to still having ovaries
Completely normal. Your body is still healing and has to get used to what's been removed. The clots are likely 'old' blood, it's normal as your body is clearing out stuff it doesn't need. But your next one should be lighter, though you may get some more clots.
Yes. It happened to me. very heavy, painful so much so In was punching the bathroom floor in hysterics and biting on plastic bottles. Youre in the VERY EARLY stages of healing. Youre still bit raw inside. if you feel unwell form loosing too much blood then ring your ward or gp incase you need some iron. make sure to drink plenty too flush all the nasty stuff away. xx
