I don’t know if I should be posting this. My sister died (within 1 day following warning ,of gravity of deterioration of health ,due to complications following endometrial/ovarian cancer - still not established which- diagnosed 2 months ago ) 2 weeks ago after her first course of chemo at a leading London Hospital
It was a battle to get consultants/ registrars/SHO to visit, talk to and get any responses of her health and this after requesting a second opinion and a formal Complaint to the trust CEO from the first week
Bloating and constipation were one of her main symptoms and no one at the hospital had any idea how to tackle the bloating
12 Charcoal tabs daily , colpermin caps 6 daily and VSL#3 1 sachet daily of this probiotic may help with bloating. Buscopan/mebeverine will help with with cramps, spasm and pain. Kolanticon gel will tackle indigestion, wind, bloating and spasm.
Why is that after 35 yrs they are still using the same drugs as I was taught in university 35 yrs earlier and in the 21sf century large number of these cancers are Still detected at Stage 3/4. Where is the cancer research! Where is the continuing education of these so called medics
Why is it that no Gps no consultants no colonoscopists were aware of symptoms of cancer of ovaries / endometrium even though in the notes it was written that she had Breast cancer 5 yrs earlier and had fibroids removed 25 yrs ago making her a High risk of getting ovarian/endometrial cancer.
This loss has devastated me and my faith in the NHS.
Challenge all poor practice in our NHS and as I have always maintained 20% of the excellent NHS staff are proping up the 80% of mediocre staff
