I'm currently going for tests to explore whether I have endometriosis. My periods are erratic and heavy. I feel discomfort in my lower tummy and I have experienced pain in my bowels for years, especially around my period. Recently my stomach has swollen and nothing appears to bring the bloating down. Has anyone else suffered with this and if so, how did you manage the bloat? Non of my trousers are fitting and I feel horrid.
Many thanks
Clare

I had severe endo around my bowels my pains used to get worse around my periods i was diagnosed after an mri scan and had a laparoscopy last Monday. I used to be really badly bloated and used to feel discomfort around that area try peppermint tea it’s really good for bloating it helped me. And i also would recommend you to see ur gp to refer u for mri scan. Hope that helps.
I get awful bloating - last night it was so bad I couldn't do up my shorts! I find peppermint tea, liquorice tea or camomile tea all help, as does a hot water bottle. I've also found sometimes stretching, yoga or a brisk walk can help. I'm still figuring it out though!
Thanks Sarah, I'm going to try those teas, it's worth a shot. I'm hoping that when they get to the bottom of it all the bloating will calm down. I try and get out and do exercise when I can too. Many thanks and good luck!
