Uterus attached to abdominal wall

Hi ladies I had my first lap on Tuesday by a regular gynaecologist and he discovered/removed endo in my uterus, pod and also had to separate my uterus from my abdominal wall as he said it was stuck together with adhesions. Has anyone else had this? What can I expect regarding the recovery?

I’m also wondering if the abdomen problem may have been seen on an MRI scan? I asked for one before deciding on going ahead with surgery and I was told that it would be pointless so I wasn’t allowed one.

He was also meant to be removing uterine polyps but when I asked him about this he said there wasn’t any. Unless they have magically disappeared by themselves (doubtful) I feel like he just forgot to check.

I didn’t have a follow up appointment made for me as the surgeon told me it wasn’t necessary. I’m grateful to finally have a diagnosis and an explanation but I feel like I’ve just been sewed up and sent home with a lot of unanswered questions and I don’t really know what to do going forward.

Any advice you can give would be amazing and appreciated :-)

Amy
