Endo diet help

Hi has anyone changed their diet over to see if it would get any results?

I'm really suffering at the moment and reading alot about endometriosis and the affects of producing too much oestrogen. I've had a laproscopy in the past and trying to use the medication three times a day but I'm not very good with tablets.

Hiya. I've been reading up on this and the advice from a lot of the natural therapists is that Endo sufferers need to reduce the inflammation in their bodies. As such we should avoid wheat, gluten, dairy and soy, and also reduce sugar (both real, and natural i.e. fruit, but especially the fake sweeteners). The general gist is to cut out processed foods too and go for home-cooked, wholesome foods i.e. don't just buy Gluten Free products. I've been implementing this for about 12 months now and my symptoms are improving.

This is what I've been doing too. Only just been 3 weeks for me so no improvement yet.

I read up about it too and it does seem to make sense. I've also given up all animal products - meat, dairy and eggs as all contain high levels of hormones. And alcohol and caffeine as they're inflammatory too.

It is pretty restrictive but for me it's easy more appealing than medication. I just hope it does help 🤞🏻

Yes I've read loads about it and think I would find it hard, but also think I need to start doing this so that my health can get better

Thank you for this. Have you found it hard? Also have you lost weight? My weight is spiralling

I would suggest doing it gradually as if you go from a regular diet to cutting it all out, it is pretty drastic. I was already vegan and ate fairly healthy so for me it's want a huge shift. The hardest part was giving up soya and gluten (especially as if only been eating gluten again the last 6 months or so) and not having any sugary treats.

My weight has been a issue for me too. I've had eating disorders in the past so I don't weigh myself but I've had to go up from a 6 to a 10 which I've really struggled with. I was hoping eating this way would help with that as I feel I'm caring too much weight and that my metabolism has slowed down. Although sometimes I don't know what's actual weight gain and what's the endo bloat and what's due to my hormones being all over the place. I'm hoping eating this way will help to regulate everything. It's only been 3 weeks and so far there's no difference. It's say its too early to tell though.

I absolutely love vegetables so it's not all bad! 😊

Sorry to butt in, when I started this diet I lost a lot of weight. Generally being a lot healthier, eating the right foods will get your digestion working well and the weight falls off. I’ve been on honeymoon recently tho and didn’t follow the diet well, put the weight back on!! I would say to try make a effort to do it to the bet of your ability straight away. If you do it slowly your forever be thinking of excuses not to do it properly x

Hi, I read Dian Shepperdson Mills book and went for a appointment with her too. When I follow the diet she details in depth in her book I have no pain at all. To the extent that I know if I have eaten something that isn’t recommended such as dairy or soy. This is her book, I highly recommend reading it! Will change your life!
