Hi! I am new to all of this, I was diagnosed with Endo jan 2017 and had most of it removed but after going on the patch for a few months and coming off, I am in the most pain I ever have been..does this mean it’s back already??i was just wondering how soon other people had there symptoms return after surgery?

I'm waiting for my surgery and i've been pre-warned by my gyno that the surgery is kind of like blowing the head off a dandelion - the symptoms can return next year. Sorry that's probably not what you wanted to hear.

I was told a minimum of 2 years..but I guess no one really knows enough to say..good luck with your surgery :)

I had a lap 2 months ago and my pain is back already😣 if you had laser it is less effective keeping endo at bay than cutting it out. I had one period since it was horrific and i get daily leg,hip and back pain. Hope you get the answers your looking for 💛

Oh wow..so what’s the point in having the surgery?..i had Endo cut out from bowels and overies but some was left on the stomach muscle..but it’s even worse now, not just abdominal pain. Same as u I’m having the hip and leg pain everyday it doesn’t matter whether I’m on period or not..sometimes it overwhelming and frustrating.. i do think u need to give it abit of time as I found the first 3 periods after my lap was horrific but they got better and it was bliss being almost pain free for s while :D..I do hope that’s the case for you..have you been back to see doc and stressed your concerns?

I was diagnosed May 2017 and ever since my symptoms have got so much worse but consultants kept telling it can’t have possibly come back yet.

I had a pelvic scan recently which showed loads of fibroids and cysts so now my GP believes it could be linked to Endo coming back and he’s trying to fight the consultant’s opinion 😕 and a second hospital also suspects I have Endo in my bowels now too!

So I guess yes, it could be possible but it means more extensive testing and to be honest, I’m not sure the strain of constant tests and procedures is even worth it!

Good luck though and remember if one consultant tells you the Endo can’t have come back and it’s in your head, keep fighting for other opinions because eventually someone will listen! xx
